First Time in Texas and the Poconos, PA
Possible $55,500+

Congratulations to Tremendous Thell Prueitt who booked his first show
near his hometown in Kingsland TX, signed up 75 customers and jumped
to Senior Sales Manager (105 total) in one huge leap for solarkind!!

At Split Rock Resort in the Pocono Mountains, PA, Dynamic Donna came
up with another 50 customers which takes her to Sales Director – she’s
1/2 way to her personal goal of 1,000 customers (She’s thinking of
raising that to 1,500 so she can ‘clear’ 1,000 actual contracted
customers!). She brought on some interested Eco’s in this ‘new
territory’ as well, so looks like she’ll coach another team at the
smallish show in Jim Thorpe April 6 (we just found!).

Brand new Eco ‘Jumpin’ Jason Mazzone signed a whopping 39 at the same
show taking him to Sales Manager (x 4). Take that 2nd test and go for
Senior Sales Manager (100) at the huge Valley Forge Show March 28-29.

Let’s hear a Yell for Yan, another natural with customers. She was
there a few hours and signed another 8 customers to add to her 19,
totalling 27. Cheri added another 4!

The Fabulous Father/Son Team of Coy and 10 yr old David came through
too! David beat his personal best with 3 customers, Coy taking on 6
more bringing their total to 71! Thanks David for getting you guys up
there and focused on customers – even with the tempting bowling alley
and videogames right next door!

Just for fun – think if the customers all contracted for at least a
year that would total about $55,500 in personal Installation and
Retention Advances! Not bad for 2 days!

Cap City Solar Update

I would like to acknowledge out Cap-City -Solar Team. Here is what they have been up to:
———————————————————————————————————————–

The best week that the Cap City Solar team completed last year was 165 FRA’s.  This week they finished their fourth week in a row with over 165 by adding 175 sales to our total.
That is 793 sales in four weeks !!!!.
2008 has been a awesome year for CapCitySolar so far.  Lets keep it going.

We have been working on adding shows to the Google Groups for the last couple of days but we need your help.  There are lots of smaller events that are perfect to work for CitizenRe.  The problem is that there is no way the HOS regional leaders can not find them all.  These are found in the local newspapers, the Chambers of Commerce, and the local news.  We need you to let the Google Groups leaders know where and when these events are happening.  Look for Craft Fairs, Flea Markets, Bizarres, Sporting Events, and so on.  If you find one, then post it in your group.  You may not be able to work it, but someone on the team may.  These groups are for you to learn and help others.  Make the most of them.

To apply for your House of Solar regional Google Group fill out the application on this link.  Make certain to know your sponsorship tree ( In  your back office) so we can confirm you as on the team.

I am excited as we move forward.  I know we are still the number one team in the country because just our part of House of Solar team accounted for over 55% of the sales nationally last week.  We are the leaders.  Keep up the good work.

Lastly I want to congratulate Cheri Black (363) and Donna Distefano (374) who are quickly approaching top salespeople in the country.   Thanks for your continued support and success.

Have a great week and God Bless.

Here is Cheri Blacks update on her group..Go Cheri !!!

House of Solar – Penn is psyched!

It looks like the Team signed 520 customers -
during an exciting (and exhausting) 6 days from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. and 3
evenings 4 – 9 pm. (Jan 19-27, 2008).

We’re really having fun talking to so many people. . Once we get
all the FRAs entered and sent in to Citizenre – and show we can keep
count (when we’re so tired) – we’ll really celebrate. We probably
handed out 2000 flyers mostly to interested folks who weren’t ready to
sign yet. And we’re still getting calls and sign-ups from flyers we
passed out last fall at shows!

We’re still proud of signing 140 – a 3-day record at
the Valley Forge Home Show in October. Now we raised the bar for a
three-day weekend – Jan 19-21 we signed 189!

Donna DiStefano soared from 75 customers
to 321 – a solid Senior Sales Manager!

Brand New Ecopreneurs on Donna’s team -
Andreina Erwin with 14
Toni Thomasson with 4
and Michael Pasternock with 1
will bring Donna’s team to 340 !!! ( Eco since 9/12/07 WOW)

Notable notes:
Andreina met us at the show, went home, signed
up, took her test and worked the last day of the show, signing 14
customers !!!!
Ecopreneur Michael, a contractor from southern NJ.
Michael couldn’t wait to help the team – and with Donna’s coaching
registered a customer.
Toni also signed up this week, passed her test and came one evening
, signing 4 customers right away. Both Toni and Andreina soaked
up the information quickly and are naturals at engaging people.

Coy Lay‘s team also made it to the top ten in CapCity Solar with at
least 47 sales to add to their 66 going in to the show to total 113 – good
work Coy, Ron Thomas, Bill Mettinger, Kathy Aukett, Ernesto Velazquez
and Michael Wells! This was the first time out for Kathy and Bill and
they’re both already half way to Sales Manager. Michael made it there
for 1/2 hour and signed his first customer! Coy and Ron are our steady
regulars we can always count on to show up and register customers.
Ernesto brought a customer to the show just so he could register 2
homes right at our exhibit.

Also on Coy’s team: Now Norman Rosner is back from a relaxing cruise
we’re wearing up for the next show in Rockland NY, Feb 8 -10. He called
while waiting on the plane home from Florida -he couldn’t wait to talk about
plans for the coming weeks. Several of us have made plans to
go up from Philadelphia and stay in the ‘Rosner hotel’ as Norm calls home
to launch from for the weekend show, also joining Maurice.
Norm’s next one is Feb 15-18 in Secaucus! He’s signed
3 more shows this Spring!

(Cheri signed 210 adding to her 100+ before the show)

Then there’s at least 12 more possibilities now through April – at
least 1/2 booked already. Get your reservations in!

Donna’s team signed several NJ Ecopreneurs this week – Michael
Posternock
, Michael Robertson (fireman) and Robert Canino, so we may
try for the Atlantic City Show coming up Feb 22-24 too!

In the last hour, Nathan Trusty (real estate investor) registered to
be an Ecopreneur and can’t wait to get started. We’ll let you know
more about our other new ecopreneurs in our next message

Second install will be on “Green that House” on the Discovery Channel

A special “Great job TEAM!!!” to Jason Keen and Viky Von Aspern (Super SolarRangers – our West coast group) for bringing the contact info to the Citizenre HQ to make this happen.

I spent the day today on a roof filming Stephen Gates and the crew installing a 2.4 KW system on a house in Pacific Palisades.

The event was also filmed by “Green that House”, but we wanted some of our own footage–and I wanted to see an install. It was fun, but that is not a job I would want. I was just standing around filming those guys works, but the heat and the reflection. It is a tough job installing solar.

The system looked and worked beautifully. We had to use equipment from other manufacturers, but the rental model was all ours and the client was thrilled.

She had invested a ton of money for remodeling. She really wanted to do solar, but had not budget for it. Citizenre to the rescue. She was so happy. It feels good to help people be happy.

Thanks for all you do everyday to make our mission happen.

Rob

Petrik Family has a “Living With Ed” Moment

Personal growth, Team Press, Work Smart, resources Comments Off

I want to preface this account with a little background. When I first started with Citizenre back in March of 2006, I was your average American Citizen. I went to work. I paid my bills. I knew electricity prices were headed up but just accepted it. I knew gas was going up but really just swept it off as “a inevitable cost of living increase”. I have heard a lot about “Global Warming” and thought Al Gore was a “Fruitcake” who made a ass of himself in his run for the Whitehouse. O.k., I know some of you may disagree with the last statement but that is how I saw it.

Since becoming a Ecopreneur, my life has changed. My eyes are open. Peak oil is either here or has just passed. Oil prices are probably not coming down this time. And, whether you believe in “Global Warming” or not, you can’t argue that breathing in smog and pollution from our energy producing coal plants is good for us.

So now to our “Living with Ed” moment. I was helping my wife empty the groceries and noticed that she bought a four pack of 60w incandescent light bulbs. I asked why did you buy these instead of the compact fluorescents.

Her reply was “well they are much cheaper and those compact things burn out just as fast as the regular bulbs.” Now in the past I would have just let it go and moved on, but now, “Oh No.” I pulled out my calculator, pen, and paper and this is what I came up with:

For this example I used a 60w incandescent and its equal, a 14w compact fluorescent. In keeping with my wifes argument, “That the compacts burn out just as fast as the regular ones”, I used the 2000 hour life expectancy of the incandescent. Also we used the ave. Kwh rate of $0.13/Kwh.

60watts x 2000hrs=120,000watts/1000=120KwH x $0.13=$15.60 for electricity to run this bulb through it life.

14watt x 2000hrs=28,000watts/1000=28KwH x $0.13=$3.64 for electricity to run this bulb through the same life expectancy of the incandescent.

Keep in mind that the compact is rated to last for 14,000 hrs.

Conclusion: For each bulb we change in our house, we will save $11.96 in electricity through the life of the bulb. Since the incandescent cost $0.36 each and the compacts cost $1.74 each, the savings in electricity more than outweighs the $1.38 difference in cost.

Last Conclusion: We will be switching all of our lamps over to compact fluorescents as the “regular” ones expire. I hope you will do the same.
